I feel like I have a reasonable view of how players I know in premier view the rules and whether those views are realistic.

Is there anything off the top of your head that you would work on immediately?

given that premier has a large number of players who play esea and IM/Main default days are the same as CSC, do you plan on making/modifying scheduling and/or substitution rules to be more accommodating for premier, as the tier generally has a very large number of subs needed (edited)

given this message i thought they could modify/adjust rules that would affect scheduling and/or subbing, can they only adjust behavioural rules?

Season schedules are created by the admin team (the rulebook does state the default days I believe, but in terms of individual tier changes they have previously been tested out and implemented by admins. Had they been successful then I would imagine they would go into the official rulebook). Rules Committee doesnt touch behavior guidelines (that would be Mod Committee). RC addresses transactions, subs, structural rules, etc.

can they adjust rules related to how late you can reschedule and stuff like that (the current rule iirc is that you can't delay a game to the next matchday, but would RC be able to change that?)

Yea, in general things that are subject to change every season we try to avoid having a part of rules

But since changing games days/amounts is so dynamic and reactive (see premier immediately flip flopped after a season), we don't like hardcoding them

I don't really see it fit to try and have an agenda as a player rep I feel its more of a job to try and properly represent the views of the majority not what I specifically view as correct at all times obviously I will have my own opinions when discussions are brought forward but I would rather act as a medium to filter players general ideas into a coherent view on any particular subject that I would be involved in

I would be in favor of some form of rescheduling as I believe it is better for the league when all five players on a team are able to play in as many matches as possible I imagine its much more complex than a singular change as its been talked about for a while now

Having sat on Rules as a Committee Head, this view can concern me as one of the issues of RC that has been raised in the past is that it can be slow to address what it needs to. Taking the time to find the takes people have on proposed rules changes would add additional hurdles. How would you address this?

I think it is important that those in the league voice their negative opinions on rules whether in public or private because if there is no push for change then rules in place should stay as they are. I believe some form of polling should be used perhaps weekly on issues brought up that simply begs the question to the wider community whether they feel it needs changed this would save a lot of time wasted on discussion and theoretical solutions before we determine if the league as a whole finds need for change. Adding in some more directness from the population as a whole (edited)

to add to this: Due to the reschedule involving prospect finals there was a potential, if a second/third stream was not aired, elite would have only had 1 of their games streamed. What is your opinion on limiting the reschedules teams have in the playoffs?

I think in the ideal scenario the league publishes the playoff schedule when the season starts so that teams and their players know when they should be available and then there should be no reschedules in playoffs obviously I imagine there a circumstances where this wouldnt be the case and exceptions may have to be made (edited)

to clarify the schedule is made by admins so the only say rules would have would be in terms of if they can reschedule which i am gathering you are saying no they shouldnt be allowed to reschedule.

If the playoff schedule is known with decent advance then no I do not think rescheduling should be allowed for playoffs as a general rule

obviously in the rare case that both teams and media want or agree to the move that should be fine but no reschedule should be permitted if it disrupts any of the three parties

So to clarify you think that media should have a part of playoff reschedules?

if media is going to be streaming the game they should have a say

and in the case of teams giving up their streamed match to reschedule it still matters as csc grows from playoff matches being streamed so if there is not a replacement match the league loses and viewers lose

i don't think 1 MD reschedule is a sufficient period of time if you are in IM or main in esea for ex: if one premier team has 3 IM players and they can't play on the default tuesday time, if the other team can't play on wednesday they either have to FF or play with 3 different people which really isn't a team at that point regarding a scrambled schedule, i think as long as it is recorded which team requests the reschedule and is ok with potentially FFing a game if they can't find a date in the future, it wouldn't be very hard for both teams to be find a game my question was towards the idea of changing this rule because in practice any IM/main player who plays csc has a very narrow reschedule window right now and I think that it feels bad to have to not play with your team for a large part of the season. I asked comrad specifically because he mentioned that he has a "reasonable view of how players [he] knows in premier view the rules" and I think that reschedule rules related to esea disproportionality will affect premier compared to the rest of the tiers and i know players/teams that have had problems with that in prev seasons [no franchise bias x d]

I think you do bring up a point that might be worth looking into the lack of some kind of a reschedule mediator or a channel with threads that could work to better help people use the current reschedule rules more effectively it would at least be a step towards better reschedule rules without taking the full jump into a complete new rule set

I think my experience in the game lends me a different perspective than some of the other candidates whether or not it is better or worse I won't argue as diversity of ideas is the strength of any multi tiered league. But I feel when it comes to the impact that the rules committee has on match days even with non match day rules I think it is important that things are held to a high standard of competitiveness from a rules standpoint no one should have to feel like they lost because of a rule or the other team won because of a loophole this league is for fun but keeping the rules at the highest standard of play allows a blank slate for all brackets to play within those rules as they see fit. I don't know if my mmr really should be a determining factor in being elected but I imagine there are those who would appreciate the fact that I play in our leagues highest tier and there may also be those who don't really care i respect either of those stances

Im thinking more representative democracy the league motions for a change and based on how badly they seem to think a rule needs to be changed or implemented should impact how much the rule shifts in the direction that the league members wish within a spectrum of reality

and the way to collect that feedback is through weekly polls?

Yeah I would like to have a poll on any serious suggestions relating to rules specifically that occur in a given week
