Why do you want to become an Admin? I've been saying for 3 seasons now that I'm going to become an admin, and its finally time. I want to become an admin because I believe that this league should continue to be a safehaven for counter strike players who want to compete, even if they are not the best player. I believe that CSC continues to lift NACS and I want to help it continue to lift NA (and Europe ig if that turns out to be a thing) even further.

What things do you hope to implement, reinforce, or remove as an Admin. I hope to make CSC a place that people feel welcomed regardless of their skill level, and to help continue to be a driving force behind different CSC projects, including media and reapplying my efforts into events. My main thing, though, is to keep the ship running and communicate to everyone better then before. After CSC went into a season that caused many GM's to lose a team (mine included), I want to continue to make sure that we keep the players we have, and gain new players. I hope to take the beneficial things from VDC that I helped implement and bring them to CSC like transparency between the leadership and everyone else. A problem that I have found in CSC is the lack of transparency between everyone, it feels like admins have stuff in their heads, and teams have some stuff and things don't get communicated to others, including the normal players, some of whom need to know these thing.

Anything else you would like to add? Well... there's the elephant in the room. VDC. Yes, I went and helped to make VDC and held admin there for a season, and was definitely absent in CSC for a time. But, I think that going to VDC showed me a lot of how to run a league and how to deal with the day to day of being an admin. And as of today (8/8), I stepped down as owner/admin/leadership in VDC to focus on CSC and helping CSC become the best version of itself it can be. (edited)

ideally if i had my choice of 2 of the other candidates to be elected with me, I would elect cash and fuffy. it has nothing against the other candidates, but I know the work ethic of those 2 well through my time in media committee and as other staff within CSC and VDC, and I believe that Fuffy and I have a publicly proven history of working well together.

Prize pools go against CSC on every matter, I am anti prize pool (i think basically everyone is). I think that a) numbers will tell admins if we need 5 tiers, but b) i think the most important part of 5 tiers is confirming that we have the numbers at the start of draft for tiers and are able to bolster the tiers with large FA and RFA pools.

My question for admin candidates is how do you plan on changing the perception of the admin role? I think alot of the community has a negative view, and I would love to see more staff appreciation in our community. I understand that shouldn't entirely be your responsibility, but if you have anything yall would be interested in doing about it, feel free to share :)

I think that the bad perception of admin has to do with the lack of communication from admins. we can't see whats going on in admin chat (nor should we), but if we can't see it we should be getting rather constant updates on what is going on and how we are working on things that the community wants to happen.

i believe the primary focus on CSC's development should be to concrete what we already have. I think that we've seen both sides of the growth coin at this point with s7 having too much growth, but with gm's losing teamsin s8 because of player loss. I think that making sure that we cannot regress as a league should be the number 1 priority.

well. created a media team that was able to stream almost every night. created a mod team with stricter punishments and less "bullshitting" then CSC. and I helped run the entire league through its first season. there's plenty more but i can't remember it off the top of my head.

As someone involved in CSC & VDC. CSC has a much longer leash for toxic behavior, harassment of staff (admins, mods mainly), trolling in official/serious channels, etc

I want to comment on Mecha’s time as a VDC admin. He didn’t just take on a normal admin role, he took on a founding member role and helped build the foundation of the league from scratch. That takes a lot of work and a lot of dedication and that’s something I think we sorely missed this last season (edited)

We have a lot of 'personalities' in CSC as well as a bunch of running jokes that, admittedly, can get a little close to the line sometimes (badmins, mod abuse, etc.). You could technically say some of these things fall under the stricter guidelines of VDC as they are at the time of posting. However, I don't think anyone would think it's the right thing to do to sanction someone in CSC each time they make the badmins joke (again, not specifically worried about anything, this is just an example of things that we let go a little farther in CSC). How far are you planning on taking things in CSC, with regard to stricter behavior guidelines? Being unfamiliar with VDC, can you provide some examples of things in the same vein that are still allowed versus things your mod team cracks down on that ours doesn't?

I think that most of the ideas are good, and I wouldn't have any problem implementing them. I think that franchises are a extension of the GM's personality and therefore if we kept the franchises the same every time a new GM came in it wouldn't feel like their franchise, it would just feel like someone else's home. I think that one of CSC's best things is it's personality and that we should continue to show that.

By changing to the "you have to accept the rules" as far as I know you have to do away with role on join which would be problematic to say the least. See image below.

Yep. Totally agree that it could get taken too far sometimes, but not everything relates to VDC. I actually think that the mods here do a really good job ( shoutout to @crudestpack ) and that the moderation works really well for this server where most people are adults. The reasoning for the more stringent rules in VDC is Valorant itself; it lends itself to a younger audience and we have players as young as 13 in the server (they were rostered on my premiere team this last season) and to protect them as well as protect against them (again, they are 13 yrs old), we used harsher rules and punishments. This question is being posed to all candidates: A big thing in some of your platforms is transparency between staff and players. First off, do you see the need for more accountability for admins specifically? If so, what are some ways you can come up with to accomplish this? I'm not just talking about punishing admins using their positions of power for wrongful purposes, but also less intense (not the right word for it but I'm blanking) things, like having regular-ish updates about current admin projects/discussions. These pre-election discussion threads are great, but once someone is elected, it would be helpful to have ways to confirm they are sticking to what they said they would do. If they aren't, I think that is something we the people deserve to know come re-election time.

a) yes, I think that admins have previously (not specifically any that are currently admin) done things that the community generally has agreed with. something I implemented in VDC was after every admin meeting a message would be released containing what was talked about in the meeting that could be released. In addition, I mentioned town halls previously (i dont remember if it was in this thread or the application) but i believe that the admins poking their heads out on "political" (read: league related) issues should happen and let the community have a place to talk to all of the admins
