Why do you want to become an Admin? I ran last season and lost by around 2-3 votes on becoming an admin. I still want to continue to improve a server I’ve spent so much time in. I still stand by the things I said then and now. I want to give the community a voice, give them an admin they can actively interact with and continue to put the league on a path to success.

What prior experience do you have that you believe will help you as an Admin? I was a gm in season 6 and 7 and that helped me understand and get to the pulse of how players felt about the league. I stepped down in season 7 to run for admin and unfortunately lost at the time. Then during season 8 with no franchise to go back to, I became a Transaction manger. Shortly after that I became the Transaction Manger committee head. I think with the extra stuff I learned as a TM helped me learn the inner working of the league with the bots (core mostly), So I’ve seen it all at this point. As a gm and as a Tm I heavily interacted with players and now I gained even more experience heading the Tms and learning about the technical side of CSC.

What things do you hope to implement, reinforce, or remove as an Admin. Being active and approachable. I think. At the very least People want admins to be around to answer questions, solve issues and be apart of the community. I can guarantee that out of me. Many people who have asked me questions or needed help from me have gotten just that and I don’t make people wait around. Yes, life gets in the way and im never going to fault someone for that. But personally, this is something I don’t need the other admins to do and would be a very good reinforcement of what admins already do. People shouldn’t be scared to reach out to the admins about problems or questions and that needs to be true. At the very least I can guarantee that Advertising/player base growth Okay. I think the first thing that comes to mind is growing the player base again. As part of the advertising committee, we kind of dropped the ball with such a short offseason and with another one coming up and us being somewhat stagnant in growth compared to the seasons prior. First, I think we need to be more proactive with advertising during the regular season and offseason. When Raasck was pumping out reddit post constantly we blew up gaining so many people during season 6 and 7. I want to get people just like him involved more in advertising. I also think this issue was partially in fault of us having an inactive media head which the admins took care of recently. I recommend making it more know about the sub committees in csc and creating a better process to getting people in those said sub committees

Removing Admins People talked about this a little last season, but I think it still needs a proper way to remove admins. If there is an issue involving an admin or an admin is very much not doing their job well or not doing their job at all. There should be a process to remove them. I have ideas in mind about ways to go about this. but nothing 100 percent set in stone. This is something the current community should be able to voice their opinion on and we as a community can come up with ideas on how to go about this the right way. Committees. Repeated. Of course, we all want committees to be able to do their own things and I still stand by that. But we can’t have inactive committee members and committees in general. I talked about this in the advertising section I wrote but we were missing our media head for a majority of the season. While its not really the fault that life got in the way of people (I’m never going to force someone to choose csc over their life) not being around, the problem was it took too long to replace them. We have great staff and many people who care so much about csc, and I want them to have freedom to do everything they want with their committees and more. As a committee head myself I feel I know what it takes for a committee head to succeed and what help they may need from the admins which I’m very much willing to do. (edited)

New Ideas. Many new Ideas are given from staff and players alike. I think the admins this past season rarely ever talked about what they were doing and when. I think communication was lacking severely and I want that to stop. While we did have the admin newsletter and notices. They were scarce and only talked about changes that were already made not about changes they are thinking of making. I want to make the process of what’s going on a bit more translucent. And make sure even if the idea isn’t going through that it is acknowledged. (edited)

well personally Im okay with everyone and have experiences with all of them but if I had to pick two other candidates to work with are Mecha and andrew . I have tons of experience with m3cha and with all the great stuff he has done in csc and even in vdc. andrew is someone I trust with any thing 100 percent and I know if he is asked to do something he will do it and do it well. again I dont have a single problem with anyone else and would love to work with any of them but if I did have to choose those would be the two

I think this is a great Idea! but we have to be careful with who we choose. we want someone who fits what we are trying to do in csc and has the same ideas. as well as we dont want someone who is just going to have use slap their name on csc but someone who we can work together to do great things with.

okay I can start with this. first I think reading would help. but I think the simplest thing I can say is that im approachable, I listen, I speak and will admit when im wrong. and most importantly I will get what I'm asked done. about 5 teirs. if you look at the mmr gaps another tier would have to be put between preimer and elite. That being said we need to grow and get higher end players as we are very much bottom heavy mmr wise right now.

then about prize pools. I ran the trash Moe cup out of pocket both times. and I think just encourage more donations towards events based prize pools but I personally do not want a prize pool for the main league as that gets away from the core ideals of the league

I think I mentioned this a little but just sharing what out staff does and showing the great things they do so often that is underappreciated. I think what I can do to improve the admins view is simply be approachable. answer questions when asked and give the community a voice when needed. being active and caring is the least we can do.

I think this is more person to person on what you want to get out of the league. but A simple thing we can do is make sure that everyone has a safe space and can be themselves and not be worried about backlash.

cash is always down to earth and transparent about the issues he sees within the community. I trust cash to do what's best for the server.

CSC's imo is in need of a facelift on both the player and staff side. we need more staff genuinely and one of my biggest focuses is trying to create a place where people want to put time and effort into. we lost a lot of staff over the last couple of seasons because of that very issue, them not wanting to put time and effort in a place they used to love. If I had to start anywhere that would be the first place I start. now going about that plan is really hard. Im planning to make this place fun, lively and inviting so as many people as they want in to be involved can be

I want to create a fantastic community people want to be apart of for as many years to come. I think everyone wants to leave their mark on something. and of course I do with csc. my Notable "impact" I want to create is a place where people can come and play counterstrike without worrying about what kind of person they are and have them not be afraid to ask questions.

(A little GM/AGM insight here) We’ve had a higher distribution of elite/premier level players sign up than normal this off-season. The reason a league like this will usually be bottom heavy is due to losing player base and player interest to ESEA

I think both are important! having great talent come in is super important to have. but to answer the first part. This is more of a numbers question. But most of mmr hopefully will continue to be decided on preformance from combines and even more.

no I would agree with you. I just want to build on that even more. Having an admin who is approachable and active is my main goal. but one more thing I talked about and was waiting for someone to bring up is creating a way to remove admins from their position due to imcompetence or inactivity.

If anyone has any doubts about how much Aaron cares about this league, the man was genuinely in tears when he chose to step away from Natural Disasters

I work in a heavily regulated industry where court cases are sometimes determined by the intent of the law and not the specific wording of the law. While obviously CSC is not necessarily on the same scale, is your personally philosophy on rules an intent basis or as written basis? Additionally in my industry, some laws were written years ago when the world was an entirely different place, and while those laws are still in effect and work to a degree, they are not necessarily suited for how the world works today. As CSC (hopefully) continues to grow, would you see the rulebook as a living document as opposed to something carved in stone? (edited)

100 percent the rulebook should be a living document. things need to be fluid and active in change to fit the situations that it comes across. As for the imcompetence. you were not here for it but many admins very much didn't pull their weight and were "afk" forcing 1 or 2 admins to do the work. the goal behind it is to stop that form happening.

AH from this. I think making them meet during the season and talking about ideas more often is the key. we cant have the rules committee working only in the offseason

I think this is just giving players something to do during the offseason. we do lose a lot of people to esea and I figure that will continue to happen. but Having more events and constant things to do will help a bunch with retention. I ran the trash moe cup with that in mind :)

Everyone in the tm committee is 100 percent competent and can handle everything without me having to hold their hands. they will be perfectly fine. and ofc I will still be around for them to ask questions and get them set up until the another tm head is in place. I wanna point out I was put in that position with very little know how and was able to learn it all and teach them along the way.

Cash picked up on TMing and dealing with the craziness of transactions channels very quickly

TMs arent left to fend for themselves - I know I tend to monitor transactions more closely as I just came off of TM before becoming admin, but Splat has also been very helpful when pinged with any questions/concerns coming from transactions. If anything, TMs is something Admins kind of have the ability to step in more often if needed to make sure things are being processed/handled properly as there are set rules on everything transactions related.

Many of the things you talk about in your ideas are very doable and seem like great ideas. but I would love to see the exact plans you have in mind for many of those ideas. so we can make them as best as they can be.

How would you feel about moving franchise towards a more permanent fixture? Rather than rebranding everytime a new GM comes in

okay I love the idea and we have a couple main stays already such as NAN and OS. but I think you dont wanna take away from the gms creating something with their image in mind. so I guess to get to the point. I think at some point when something is that big it shouldnt be able to be changed but if its newer/ doesnt have history I dont see an issue

okay I think the beginning and easiest thing is releasing notes from every admin meeting that comes out. basically what we went over, what we need to get done this week/however long and then ideas for the future and such. the other thing we could introduce is something similar to an admin update channel. basically, you guys would get a week to week update on what we did that week and what we covered from the ideas you have given us. This creates accountability in you guys can call us out when we do too little and not cover something you guys wanted up too. (edited)

So even now I've been trying to put together a 10man welcome night to the DEs and having more events during the offseason to have them join. I think the current onboarding process isn't perfect but has gotten better every season. Other than that making sure they are actively aware of when things are happening is a simple way to decrease the amount of DEs that drop prior to draft. Other than that. just being available to answer questions and help new people go through the process.
