@H4K | Drawde Response - I am eager to take on a larger role inside CSC, as I have been really enjoying the community and want to contribute to it. Beyond that I feel that this is a position that fits my skillset, as a current law student who also held positions both writing and enforcing the rules for my undergraduate fraternity. xxoo - Drawde

I read The Rules when I joined CSC in S6. πŸ“š I'm planning on g(ave)iving it a thorough re-read if I get elected (we're still in finals time here). (edited)

2.8.1 The rules here and elsewhere are ultimately defined and interpreted by the Admins of CSC. The Admins may fill in for any other role for decision-making as necessary.
Uhhhh...... May need some time with this one. It seems like a necessary rule, but if gaps are found this way, I think that rules covering those gaps should be implemented ASAP.

I think that my qualifications (i.e. [nearlyPepeHands ] 2 years of law school, a politically focused undergraduate history degree, and several semesters of experience elected to my undergraduate fraternity's rules committee) differentiate me from the others. Additionally, I now have two seasons of experience as a player in CSC (rostered and as a perma FA), where I have gotten a good feel of how players exist within the current rules, where they work well and where they don't.

I think that CSC has transparency issues. In CSC’s current state it is hard for most players (the normies) to tell what staff members/admins/elected members do, or how they feel about issues as most of CSC is run behind closed doors. I think increased transparency would benefit both sides. Some committees have more recently been publishing meeting minutes/notes (in #community-announcements) which is a positive step that I believe should be codified in the rules for all committees. Other transparency changes could be (although I am of course open to discussion, editing, and changes) things like public admin votes on certain issues, better clarity on what people are or are not punished for, etc. Issues like these can only effectively be tackled by the rules committee.

I think a lot of the value that I bring is as an editor/writer who can put things in a way that is easy to interpret and hard to misinterpret. That being said, on my read-through of the rules last night I noted down some rules that were outdated/in need of editing. Rules 6.1.5.3, 6.2.6.2, and 6.2.7 all refer to a text channel (#match-check-in) that is presumably now #match-support. Also there are two 2.5 sections where the second 2.5.2 reads β€œThe league is led by the 4 Admins of CSC, who primarily work with long-term decisions and projects.” (emphasis added), and there are now five admins. Clarity changes like these are obviously not necessarily the most pressing, but over time they can cause misunderstandings and make CSC less accessible.
