After partially reviewing #notices from the past season, it seems to me that there was only one real admin notice towards the latter part of the season. There is a couple about servers, several others about the instances that occured though the season, such as GM removal/stepping down and the leak incident. Some were updates about the mod committee, however none provided real insight. As admins are overseers for the different committees, I believe it is important for the community to know about the need for new committee members before any issues may arise.
Candidates, how will you go about providing the community with more transparency? How do you plan on providing the committees with their necessary resources should more situations arise?
You would be correct that the amount of notices plus the information in the notices was not sufficient.
I will say there is a plan in place to improve people-to-know that would provide more insight on each committee, franchise, etc. committee heads will provide info in their channel as needed.
How I see the utilization of more frequent newsletters, is we can point people in the direction of those individual people-to-know channels when committees are looking for more people or have information that they would like to share.
Ex:
β
Media committee is looking for more observers, see (channel link) for more details
Events is looking into Pokémon Showdown tournament, if youβre interested please see (channel link)
Mod Committee would like to host their own town hall so the community can voice their opinions, please check (channel link)
Stats is introducing a live scoreboard, check (channel link) to see what this means
