Why do you want to be an Arbiter? I have been an arbiter for 2 seasons and I would like to run for relection. Last season with the arbiter issues I was not able to be as effective as I would have liked but my first season was a very good learning experience in how arbiter works in CSC. Love providing this service to CSC. What experience do you have, if any, that would help you in the position of Arbiter? Arbiter in RSC and Arbiter in CSC several seasons If Player A is struck for being rude (Rule 10) to Player B, but claims that it was a joke, how would you rule this case and why? The ultimate deciding factor is was player B offended or insulted. If they feel like they were and report it as such you have to strike player A per the rules. We cannot diminish the players feelings. Staff Nominator: @AVI | Hawkish

As a former arbiter, I understand that there are times where the mods and admins might disagree with how the arbiters are approaching a case. If elected, do you plan on finding ways to better meet in the middle with the other parties or do you want to stick to your own opinions on cases? Are you wanting to find ways bolster the arbiter's abilities and suggest changes to the committee and/or the mods' behavior guidelines since you rule based on those guidelines?

Fun fact: Arbiters have 7 days to make a decision once the appealant has made their initial claims, however time sensitive punishments like mutes and MD bans can affect a players ability to play in matches and events. With that in mind, there can be some pressure to make decisions faster than others may feel comfortable doing so. How confident are you in your abilities to analyze and address provided evidence in a timely manner while still feeling that enough due diligence was done?

I am an analytical person by nature so I often have had to and do analyze facts fairly quickly and have done it for 2 seasons, I feel like I can work well in being able to address things in a timely manner when we DO have the evidence needed to make a decision. I also have done it in my military background previously, because of this I do not feel like I would succumb to pressure as if we cannot make a decision I will not rush it to try and get the decision in for say a MD if there is something in the case that makes me uncomfortable to make the decision in the moment. My resume thus far as an arbiter I also feel reflects this.

This was something I actually wanted to work on this season as I took my first season to learn and get used to the position within CSC rules. with what happened with arbiter election and us not being able to be fully staffed I did not feel comfortable attempting this last season and if elected this is something I would like to address this season. exactly what I am not entirely sure yet as I have to reread the handbook to see where things could be improved. I do think finding a middle ground is the best end result. (edited)
