Why do you want to be a player representative for Rules Committee? To be honest, I like debating a ton, and the CSC rules being what they are, an active player perspective is crucial to the rules committee! Having been the subject of intense rule confusion last season, I’d love to be a part of the change and attempt to make it better for new players joining the scene!

Hi Khouse1007! Can you provide some clarification on the rules confusion that you were a part of previously? And what changes or clarity you would like added to prevent something similar from happening?

Any rules that you specifically disagree with? Think are too vague or too specific?

Can you explain how “liking to debate” helps qualify you for a committee position?

Last season there was much confusion over the way in which waivers were applied and cleared, as well as the legality of “forcibly” subbing a player out without their actual need to be subbed

The rule book specifically needs to be cleaned up, so that all rules can be quickly and easily referenced and equally carried out

In particular, a parliamentarian-esque style of debate and conduct is something which could be implemented in CSC, specifically surrounding the somewhat intense goings on which we can frequently see in SSD and bleeding into other channels. A need for civility and a clear head in conversation is crucial to positions dealing with rules & how CSC works

Are there any specific "sections" of rules you see as having issues, or types of changes you want to make in rules? If not: what role do you see yourself as taking within RC discussions?

I think in particular rules referring to general goings-on of the season, such as waivers and contracts, are relatively inaccessible or confusing to the average player, and should be either simplified or better explained in a small blurb next to each rule or each section. This blurb could act as an FAQ, for cases where an admin cannot reply instantly or a player is curious about their own status! Within RC discussions I’d be a voice of the common “new” or “non invested” player, as opposed to a player who has spent 4-5 seasons with CSC and knows the rules like the back of their hand. This viewpoint would allow a better perspective on how to simplify and dumb down rules or explanations to better serve the players who are really only here for the “beer league” aspect of CSC, rather than as a feeder to ESEA
