Why do you want to become an Admin?
I would like to continue my position as an Admin as I feel like there is still a lot I can offer within the position.
----------
What prior experience do you have that you believe will help you as an Admin?
Admin Seasons 8-9
Multiple staff positions leading up to being elected Admin (former TM Head and former Mod Head are most notable)
----------
What things do you hope to implement, reinforce, or remove as an Admin?
My past two seasons I have spent time *trying* to make things easier for current and future Admins. This has been primarily through documenting processes and making sure other Admins know how to do different aspects of the position. This is especially important in my eyes so a single Admin is not responsible for most of the knowledge of running the league. Historically, when one admin that knows a lot is no longer Admin, there is a period of ""what the fuck are we supposed to be doing and when"" which I dealt with a lot in Season 8. That being said, I have a few ways in which I have tried to make sure this information is shared. Some of these ways have been:
- Sitting in VC and explaining/showing how to do certain things
- Documenting different things
- Master To Do List (posted in an admin channel - still adding to it but the most important information for the beginning of the new admin cycle is there)
- βHow toβ Document (shows/explains how to do different things in CORE, the RSC Bot, TicketTool, etc. β Still a WIP and I will continue working on it even if I do not get reelected)
- Transactions explanations in the GM Guide Document (project done by Andrew) + the transactions guide is planned to be its own thing next season (WIP)
- Schedule βTemplatesβ for new seasons (these are hit or miss depending on how many teams are in a tier and how many match days there are, but they are a good base to reference)
- Application/Voting Templates (just makes elections significantly easier to have a simple base to copy/edit from)
There are still a number of things I would like to continue to work on from the list above as well as other private projects, but I will spare everyone some reading.
Ultimately, I think the most important thing with new admin cycles are just making sure old admins are adequately passing information along in case an issue arises and certain admins are not available to do something. I hope me documenting a lot of stuff helps this process for future admin cycles.
Personally, I would love to continue to work on the things I have mentioned above but I also have some other notes for myself. To begin, I think since becoming admin I have lost my more personal relationship with the league. That being said, I would love to involve myself again with the general player base a bit more whether that be running some community nights or just playing in the league more often. Part of why I became an admin in the first place was because I was a player and a staff member, so I was the one impacted by decisions as well as I was the one more directly dealing with players who were impacted as well. I think involving myself as a player again will give me that perspective of the league that I have sort of lost touch with. Player perspective is important with making decisions/considerations, which is why I (and the team) has discussed mid-season feedback on top of the end of season feedback that is typically collected. A lot of what I *could* talk about for things that have been done the past two seasons were collaborative efforts, so I think it would be a bit unjust to take credit for things that I didnβt have a major impact on.
